Living Lullabies
Living Lullabies is a series of Hannah Reyes Morales which was published in the December 2020 issue of National Geographic magazine. In this documentation project, Hannah aims to uncover how major global issues like conflict, migration, public health, and climate change affect and are reflected in the bedtime stories and songs of children around the world. Her project, Living Lullabies, illuminates critical issues facing women and children by exploring families' nighttime rituals. She collects the stories and lullabies of displaced families in different geographies and captures the most intimate moments between the parents and children. These series of photographs are also depicting how universal this language of lullabies are and how bracing they are especially in times of struggle and difficulties.
